Analyzes points of view in at least two documents 5.  Analyzes documents by grouping them in two or three ways, depending on the question. 6. Identifies and explains the need for at least one type of appropriate additional documents or sources. Above Basic Competence  “B” Grade (85% of points allocated) 7. Has a clear, analytical, and comprehensive thesis. See my comment in number 1. 8. Shows careful and insightful analysis of the documents. 9. Uses documents persuasively as evidence. 10. Analyzes point of view in most or all documents.     11. Analyzes the documents in additional ways – groups, comparisons, syntheses Excellent Competence  “A” Grade (93% of points allocated) 12. Brings in relevant “outside” historical content. There is minimal evidence of this. 13. Explains why additional types of document(s) or sources are needed.
